Job Description
Job Summary:
The Monitor Technician I provides accurate cardiac rhythm surveillance through continuous remote cardiac monitoring, while maintaining communication with the patient's nurse. The Monitor Technician I will also document monitoring activities and communication for inclusion in the patient's chart. The Monitor Technician I also serves in the capacity of a Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician as needed, if qualified. Additionally, the Monitor Technician I will provide a safe environment for the patient by continuously monitoring video from a remote centralized monitoring station. - High school graduate or equivalency required.
- Successful completion of an approved dysrhythmia course or related experience.
- Prior health care experience desired.
- Knowledge of medical terminology desired.
- Ability to navigate the video surveillance software system competently.
- Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence.
