Job Description

Overview We are seeking a Monitor Technician, sometimes referred to as our Telemetry Monitor Technician (Tech) or Tele Monitor Tech. A Tele Monitor Tech will be responsible for observing and interpreting patients' heart rhythms and other vital data transmitted by telemetry equipment. This role is crucial for identifying and alerting the medical team to any abnormalities or critical changes in a patient's cardiac or health status. The Monitor Technician detects early warning signs of cardiac events, ensuring timely intervention, and improving patient outcomes in our telemetry unit.

Health, dental, and vision insurance options Paid vacation, sick time and holidays Bereavement leave, FMLA and other leave options Employer 401K options Tuition reimbursement options Life, disability, and other insurance options Many other amazing benefits Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Cardiac monitoring, observe and interpret heart rhythms (ECG/EKG) displayed on telemetry monitors Recognize normal and abnormal cardiac patterns, such as arrhythmias, and document findings Notify nurses or physicians of any significant changes in a patient's heart rhythm or vital signs promptly, escalate critical issues (e.g., life-threatening) immediately Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot telemetry equipment, including electrodes and monitors Ensure proper signal transmission and resolve issues with poor connections or faulty equipment Record telemetry readings in the patient's medical record for documentation and review, generate rhythm strips for analysis by the medical team Qualifications Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers.
You must have:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current Six months previous experience in Healthcare or as Monitor Technician Employment Status Full Time Shift Nights Employment Status Full Time Shift Nights Equal Employment Opportunity Company is an equal employment opportunity employer.
