Job Summary Answers and executes incoming, outgoing, and inter-hospital telephone calls on attendant console in a polite and professional manner. Essential Physical and Cognitive Demands, Manual Dexterity:
Describe the physical efforts, manual dexterity and cognitive skills required for the job (i.e., eye/hand coordination, lifting, pulling, walking, concentration, analysis, customer sensitivity, etc.). This position requires the ability to withstand long periods of sitting.

C. JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Demonstrates the required job specific technical/professional knowledge, skills and abilities. • 1. Operate attendant console, answering and executing all incoming, outgoing and inter-hospital telephone calls. 2. Monitor and document any equipment or trunk problems and notify IT. 3. Monitor and relay any alarms, fire, oxygen, air vacuum, OR freezers, blood bank etc. to appropriate department. 4. Document all alarms, equipment malfunctions, Home Care on-call activity, Administration on-call notified etc. Operator will relay situation to the appropriate department. 5. Maintains thorough knowledge of all hospital emergency procedures and coordinates communications during telephone system failures, fire alarms and disasters. 6. Operate PC for patient location through computer software program. 7. Helps with training of new staff. 8. Takes action to resolve problems and communicates with management. 9. Operates Cyracom and TTY phone services • Document on addendum age specific competency.

D. PROJECTS/ASSIGNMENTS
1. Completes projects/assignments within projected time frames and expectations.
