Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Vascular Ultrasound Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will perform specialized vascular ultrasound examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular conditions. Your expertise will support physicians in evaluating blood flow, detecting vascular abnormalities, and guiding interventional procedures. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of sonography, anatomy, and medical equipment operation, contributing to accurate diagnostic evaluations within a fast-paced clinical environment. Duties Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with physician orders and established protocols. Conduct OB/GYN examinations, including first, second, and third trimester studies, fetal anatomical surveys, amniotic fluid index (AFI), placenta previa evaluations, and transvaginal imaging. Perform vascular ultrasound examinations, including carotid, arterial and venous duplex, Doppler, color flow imaging, aortic studies, upper and lower extremity arterial and venous studies, dialysis graft evaluations, renal artery duplex, transplant studies, and vascular stent assessments. Perform general ultrasound examinations of the abdomen, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, biliary tract, appendix, breast, thyroid, bladder, kidneys, prostate, ovaries, uterus, hernias, and other superficial structures. Perform pediatric and neonatal ultrasound examinations, including abdomen, pelvis, renal, liver/spleen, head, spine, appendix, bladder, pyloric stenosis, intussusception, thyroid, scrotum, and soft tissue imaging. Evaluate image quality and anatomy to ensure diagnostic accuracy and recognize abnormal findings requiring immediate physician notification. Assist physicians with ultrasound-guided procedures, including paracentesis, thoracentesis, and cyst aspiration, as applicable. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment and ensure proper documentation within PACS. Maintain accurate patient records and complete imaging documentation in accordance with departmental and regulatory standards. Follow infection prevention practices, isolation precautions, and appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Provide compassionate patient care while maintaining patient privacy, dignity, and comfort. Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient outcomes. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with departmental policies and continuing education requirements. AL01
Requirement:
Recent 1 Year of Experience as Vascular Ultrasound Tech.
ARDMS RVT
Required OB/GYN and AB preferred. BLS Certificate Required.
