Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Sonographer II performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations as ordered by the provider and directed by the radiologist, utilizing an elevated level of clinical expertise and specialized skills. With the ability to recognize complex normal and abnormal anatomy, the Sonographer II evaluates the appropriateness of provider orders in relation to the patient's clinical presentation and determines the optimal positioning and scan parameters to obtain high-quality diagnostic images. They ensure all relevant anatomy is documented clearly and accurately, providing the radiologist with comprehensive information for diagnosis. Examination findings are meticulously documented on the appropriate work sheet or exam form. The Sonographer II demonstrates proficiency in assisting radiologists with advanced procedures, including biopsies, while adhering to sterile techniques. A commitment to delivering exceptional patient care is reflected in their positive customer service attitude and professional conduct during all interactions. The Sonographer II takes personal accountability for maintaining professional standards, staying current with advancements in the field, and fulfilling responsibilities in alignment with the organization's mission, vision, and values.
REQUIREMENTS
Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or Ultrasound OR Ultrasound Certification One year of Imaging - Ultrasound experience Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer through
ARDMS OR
Sonography or Vascular Sonography through ARRT OR Registered Vascular Specialist through
CCI BLSP
