Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Sonographer III performs advanced diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients as ordered by the provider and directed by the radiologist. Leveraging a high level of clinical expertise, the Sonographer III possesses the unique ability to identify both normal and complex abnormal anatomy while evaluating the appropriateness of provider orders in relation to the patient's clinical signs and symptoms. They determine optimal positioning and scan parameters to ensure the highest-quality diagnostic images, reviewing them for clarity, anatomical documentation, and accuracy to provide radiologists with all pertinent diagnostic information. Examination findings are thoroughly documented on the appropriate work sheet or exam form. The Sonographer III demonstrates proficiency in basic nursing skills and sterile techniques to assist radiologists with biopsy procedures and other advanced interventions. Additionally, they play a key role in mentoring and educating sonography students, sharing expertise and fostering the development of future professionals. A positive customer service attitude and professional conduct are consistently maintained in all interactions. The Sonographer III takes personal accountability for adhering to professional standards, staying abreast of advancements in the field, and aligning all duties with the organization's mission, vision, and values.
REQUIREMENTS
Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or Ultrasound OR Ultrasound Certification & High School Diploma Two years of Imaging - Ultrasound experience Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer with at least 3 specialties: Abdomen, Breast, OB/GYN, Pediatric General, Pediatric Echo, Adult Echo, Vascular, or Nuchal Translucency scanning through
