Category Imaging - Ultrasound General Job Type Contract An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled professional with experience in general imaging and as an Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer. This contract role focuses on performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures, providing critical information to support patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
Certification as an Ultrasound Technologist (RDMS or equivalent) Demonstrated proficiency in general ultrasound imaging techniques Experience in a hospital or clinical setting Strong knowledge of sonography safety standards and protocols Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Keen attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine and specialized ultrasound exams as ordered by medical staff Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and ensuring comfort Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment in accordance with established guidelines Analyze and review images to ensure accuracy and clarity for diagnostic purposes Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records within the system Uphold infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment Assist with workflow coordination and patient scheduling when necessary
