00 This full-time ultrasound position is based in Birmingham, Alabama, a vibrant and growing city known as a major medical and educational hub for the region. This role is a standard 40-hours-per-week position, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.

Some holidays are required on a fair rotational basis, offering stability and predictability for work-life balance while ensuring coverage for patients who rely on hospital services year-round. A typical day includes performing a variety of ultrasound examinations across inpatient units, breast imaging, outpatient clinics, and the emergency department. In the inpatient setting, you will perform exams for medical, surgical, and critically ill patients, adapting to bedside imaging needs and coordinating with nursing and medical staff to ensure safe, efficient care. In breast imaging, you will support diagnostic workups and follow-up examinations in coordination with breast care teams, maintaining attention to detail and sensitivity in patient interactions. Outpatient responsibilities will involve scheduled studies in a more structured clinic environment, where strong communication and time management skills are essential. In the emergency department, you will provide timely imaging for acute presentations, supporting physicians who depend on rapid, accurate ultrasound data to make urgent clinical decisions. The workflow is designed to balance volume with quality. Patient ratios and exam loads are structured to support thorough, technically accurate imaging while maintaining a steady pace throughout the day. You will be expected to adhere strictly to departmental protocols and safety standards, accurately document all exams within the EMR, and ensure proper image labeling, archiving, and transmission for interpretation. Required:
ARDMS certified, 2 years' of inpatient experience, including inpatient, breast, outpatient, and ED experience.
