Job Description

The Ultrasound Technician performs diagnostic sonographic procedures in an OB and Women's Health setting to assist physicians in the diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment of patients. This role is responsible for producing high-quality imaging, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and maintaining accurate documentation while adhering to clinical protocols and regulatory standards.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
We are a drug free facility. Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required .
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program required.
License/Certification:
Current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent required or must be obtained within a specified timeframe. OB/GYN specialty certification preferred.
Experience:
Prior experience in OB/GYN or Women's Health ultrasound preferred. New graduates from accredited programs are encouraged to apply (if applicable to your hiring needs). Strong knowledge of ultrasound imaging techniques, OB/GYN anatomy, and fetal development. Ability to operate and maintain ultrasound equipment and related imaging systems. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care. Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality diagnostic images. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment. Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and imaging documentation systems.
