Job Description

Category Imaging - Ultrasound General Job Type Contract Seeking an experienced healthcare professional skilled in General Ultrasound and sonographic procedures for a contract assignment. This role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary care team to deliver exceptional diagnostic imaging services in a dynamic clinical setting. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in operating ultrasound technology, interpreting images, and supporting patient-centered care. Your expertise will directly contribute to accurate diagnoses and high-quality outcomes for patients.
Qualifications:
Certified and registered as an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer (ARDMS or equivalent). Proven experience in general ultrasound procedures and protocols. Solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology as relevant to diagnostic imaging. Familiarity with maintaining and calibrating ultrasound equipment. Exceptional communication and patient interaction skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians and healthcare staff. Adherence to safety standards, privacy policies, and infection control practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general ultrasound imaging for inpatients and outpatients as ordered by medical staff. Prepare exam rooms and maintain cleanliness and readiness of imaging equipment. Explain procedures and respond to patient inquiries with a caring, professional approach. Accurately capture and label images, ensuring clarity and correct documentation. Support diagnostic processes by assisting radiologists with information and technical skills. Maintain detailed records and follow protocols for image storage and reporting.
