Job Description

Category Imaging - Ultrasound General Job Type Contract Step into an impactful imaging role supporting patient care with expertise in general ultrasound. Bring your experience as an Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer to a dynamic healthcare environment, where your skills in diagnostic imaging make a difference for patients and care teams alike. This contract opportunity offers a collaborative setting focused on delivering quality results and compassionate service.
Key Qualifications:
Registered or registry-eligible as an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer (ARDMS or equivalent) Demonstrated proficiency in general ultrasound, with experience performing abdominal, pelvic, small parts, and vascular studies Strong knowledge of sonographic equipment, imaging protocols, and anatomy Ability to assess images for technical quality and provide preliminary findings to physicians Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and medical staff Compliance with safety, infection control, and privacy regulations Current BLS certification Previous experience in a hospital or clinical environment preferred
Schedule/Hours:
Contract-based position, schedule to be discussed during the interview process
Role Responsibilities:
Operate ultrasound equipment to produce quality diagnostic images as ordered by physicians Prepare and position patients, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort throughout examinations Review and evaluate images for clarity and completeness before submission to radiologists Maintain accurate patient records and document all performed exams Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care Monitor and ensure proper maintenance, cleanliness, and functionality of imaging equipment This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your ultrasound expertise and support critical patient care services.
