Duties Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations across various specialties, including maternal-fetal medicine and obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn), ensuring high-quality imaging results. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process clearly and answering questions to ease anxiety. Apply aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures, preventing infections and ensuring patient safety. Operate advanced sonography equipment with precision, adjusting settings based on physiology knowledge and specific diagnostic requirements. Accurately document findings using medical terminology, ensuring detailed reports for physicians' review. Collaborate with healthcare teams to interpret images, providing insights into anatomy and physiology that aid diagnosis. Maintain equipment calibration and perform routine quality checks to ensure optimal imaging performance. Experience Proven experience in medical imaging, particularly with sonography or diagnostic radiology procedures. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to ultrasound imaging. Familiarity with maternal-fetal medicine practices and Ob/Gyn imaging techniques is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds, providing compassionate care and clear instructions. Experience adhering to aseptic techniques and maintaining strict infection control standards in clinical settings. Prior exposure to advanced ultrasound technology and familiarity with various imaging modalities is preferred.
