Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an MSK (Musculoskeletal) Ultrasound Technician, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services focused on musculoskeletal, and other vascular related conditions. In this energetic and fast-paced environment, you will utilize advanced ultrasound technology to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating a variety of patient conditions. Your expertise in medical imaging, anatomy, and patient care will help improve outcomes and enhance the patient experience. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a collaborative setting dedicated to Rheumatology. Duties Operate and maintain ultrasound imaging equipment to produce clear, accurate images of musculoskeletal structures, joints, tendons, ligaments, and vascular systems. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, ensuring comfort, and applying aseptic techniques to prevent infection. Assist physicians during diagnostic examinations by providing high-quality ultrasound images for interpretation. Apply knowledge of anatomy and physiology to identify key structures and abnormalities during imaging procedures. Document findings accurately within Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), ensuring proper storage and retrieval of images for review. Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques throughout all procedures. Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and team members to coordinate care and clarify imaging requirements. Qualifications Proven experience operating medical imaging equipment with a focus on sonography or diagnostic radiology. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology. Knowledge of vascular technology diagnostics and the ability to perform vascular ultrasound procedures. Knowledge of cardiovascular ultrasounds a plus! Familiarity with medical terminology, medical equipment operation, PACS systems, and picture archiving standards. Experience with women's health and reproductive patient care is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly and provide compassionate patient care. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
