Position Summary The Ultrasound Services Technologist is an advanced allied health professional with demonstrated skills and competency in all required General and Vascular Ultrasound procedures provided in the hospital. The Technologist supervises work area activities, assumes responsibility for technical staff, and maintains standards of quality; supervises all technical aspects of the work area; is responsible for the day-to-day operations of that area and for making work assignments to accommodate work requirements. Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job Ability to perform all aspects of Ultrasound imaging. Ability to communicate pertinent patient information to the radiologist. Ability to evaluate the demands of physicians, patients, staff and superiors. Ability to effectively identify and implement performance improvement techniques. Ability to deliver quality customer service. Ability to be at work and be on time. Ability to follow company policies, procedures and directives. Ability to interact in a positive and constructive manner. Ability to prioritize and multitask. Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Qualifications Minimum Requirements Qualifications/Work Experience:
3 years dedicated experience in General and Vascular Ultrasound (required) providing the care needed by the geriatric, adult, adolescent, child, and neonatal patient populations or 2 years of full-time experience at Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center as a General and Vascular Ultrasound Technologist with work assignments which demonstrate the assumption of increasing responsibilities
Education/Licensure/Certification:
Current American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) required Current American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) preferred
