Job Overview:
An Ultrasound Technologist (General Sonographer) performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations to produce high-quality images that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating a variety of medical conditions. The technologist operates ultrasound equipment, prepares patients for procedures, evaluates image quality, maintains accurate documentation, and ensures patient safety while providing compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general diagnostic ultrasound examinations as ordered by physicians. Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures by explaining the exam and positioning them appropriately. Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images. Perform abdominal, pelvic, small parts, vascular (if applicable), obstetric, and gynecologic ultrasound examinations. Evaluate image quality and ensure complete diagnostic studies. Identify and document abnormal findings for physician interpretation. Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS. Verify patient identity and review physician orders before performing examinations. AL01
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of Ultrasound Tech experience
RDMS BLS
Pay:
$2,600.00 - $2,800.00 per week
