  • At least 1 year of acute care (hospital) experience
  • required
  • RDMS credential in one specialty
  • required Senior Ultrasound Technologist
  • 4 years of prior acute care (hospital) experience
  • required (Advancement into Senior job classification can be assessed after 6 months with UCLA Health)
  • RDMS credential in three specialties
  • Abdomen, OBGYN and RVT
  • required General Requirements
  • BLS/CPR Certificate
  • required
  • Graduate of CAAHAP ultrasound program
  • strongly preferred
  • AAS or higher in Medical Sonography
  • preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, visitors, physicians, nurses, staff and others in a professional and courteous manner
  • Ability to accept and carry out oral and written instructions accurately
  • Ability to employ independent decision making, prioritize work, while handling multiple tasks to completion within allotted time
  • Ability to show attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness
  • Basic typing skills to input various data into RIS and HIS Information systems.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology with the ability to distinguish between types of procedures within the assigned department(s) and medical diagnoses
