Location:
Los Angeles, CALIFORNIA Staff Ultrasound Technologist- At least 1 year of acute care (hospital) experience
- required
- RDMS credential in one specialty
- required Senior Ultrasound Technologist
- 4 years of prior acute care (hospital) experience
- required (Advancement into Senior job classification can be assessed after 6 months with UCLA Health)
- RDMS credential in three specialties
- Abdomen, OBGYN and RVT
- required General Requirements
- BLS/CPR Certificate
- required
- Graduate of CAAHAP ultrasound program
- strongly preferred
- AAS or higher in Medical Sonography
- preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, visitors, physicians, nurses, staff and others in a professional and courteous manner
- Ability to accept and carry out oral and written instructions accurately
- Ability to employ independent decision making, prioritize work, while handling multiple tasks to completion within allotted time
- Ability to show attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness
- Basic typing skills to input various data into RIS and HIS Information systems.
- Knowledge of medical terminology with the ability to distinguish between types of procedures within the assigned department(s) and medical diagnoses
