Job Description
The primary role of the Cardiac Sonographer is to perform diagnostic Echo's as ordered by one of our 5 Cardiologists. Imaging procedures at the request of the physicians to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with cardiac disease. Testing includes, Exercise Stress Echo, Dobutamine Stress Echo, Contrast Echo and Bubble Study. Do you have the interest and personality that is keen to play in the great outdoors? DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Able to work effectively as a member of an inter-professional team, collaborating with other disciplines to provide comprehensive patient care Contributes to the academic mandate of the organization as an educator, resource or support for staff, students Identifies and addresses educational needs for patients and their families Demonstrates commitment to ongoing professional development in order to continue to provide optimal patient care Is committed to, and participates in, ongoing quality improvement in the organization Provides patient care in accordance with all professional and organizational standardsQUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree, graduate of an accredited educational program in Cardiac Sonography Current registration with ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) and/or CRCS-AE with Sonography Canada Mandatory membership with CMRITO(College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario) Current CPR certification Excellent communication, critical thinking and interpersonal skills Proven flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills as relates to patient care Demonstrated commitment to and involvement with own profession (e.g. membership with professional association, etc.) preferred Effective and demonstrated team skillsJob Types:
