Full Job Description About Us:
At San Diego Cardiac Center, we provide exceptional cardiovascular care and diagnostics. As an IAC-accredited facility, we adhere to the highest standards in patient care and imaging quality. We are seeking a skilled Vascular Ultrasound Tech with 2+ years of experience. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, and eager to continue their professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform venous insufficiency, DVT, arterial duplex, venous duplex, vein mapping, abdominal aorta imaging, and ABI studies Generate preliminary reports within EPIC and/or PACS systems Communicate abnormal findings to the reading and/or referring physician in a timely manner Educate patients and explain procedures professionally and clearly Maintain a clean and compliant work environment in accordance with IAC standards and protocols Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to support efficient workflow and high-quality patient care
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2+ years of vascular ultrasound experience Associate's degree or higher in Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography, Cardiovascular Technology, or a related field. Strong analytical skills with the ability to accurately interpret complex imaging results. Self-motivated with a proactive approach to professional development and continuous learning. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, can work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong proficiency in reflux studies, DVT studies, LE/UE arterial imaging, ABI, vein mapping, and abdominal aorta imaging Experience with EPIC preferred Familiarity with Philips Affiniti ultrasound systems preferred Flexibility to work between multiple clinic locations as needed Knowledge of Venaseal, endovenous procedures, including RFA, sclerotherapy, and phlebectomy, is a plus Credentialed as RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI) Experience working in an IAC-accredited facility and familiarity with accreditation standards and processes.
