Job Description
Description This position will support the Central Region, which is comprised of Santa Monica and Westwood regions, primarily in the Santa Monica Campus area, providing patient care for our inpatient and outpatient settings. The Santa Monica and Westwood regions support 4
- 10hour work week schedules and participate in on-call, holiday, and weekend schedules as prepared by the manager.
External Candidates:
Staff Sonographer:
One to two years of experience within the hospital / acute care setting Must maintain active RDMS certification in one specialty, i.e. Abdomen or OB-GYN Graduate of CAAHAP accredited ultrasound program is strongly preferredSalary Range:
$55.94- $73.
Salary Range:
$62.43- $76.12 Hourly Salary Range (Staff through Senior): $55.94
- $76.12 Hourly Qualifications Staff Ultrasound Technologist At least 1 year of acute care (hospital) experience
- required RDMS credential in one specialty (Abdomen or OBGYN)
- required Experience in Breast Ultrasound Imaging
- strongly preferred Senior Ultrasound Technologist 4 years of prior acute care (hospital) experience
- required (Advancement into Senior job classification can be assessed after 6 months with UCLA Health) RDMS credential in Abdomen, OBGYN and RVT
- required General Requirements BLS/CPR Certificate
- required Graduate of CAAHAP ultrasound program
- strongly preferred AAS or higher in Medical Sonography
- preferred RDMS (AB or OBGYN)
- minimum requirement Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, visitors, physicians, nurses, staff and others in a professional and courteous manner Ability to accept and carry out oral and written instructions accurately Ability to employ independent decision making, prioritize work, while handling multiple tasks to completion within allotted time Ability to show attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness Basic typing skills to input various data into RIS and HIS Information systems.
