2 Description American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist specializing in breast sonography, requiring

ARDMS RDMS

(BR) certification and at least 1 year of breast ultrasound experience. Details Outpatient Breast Care Center setting within a hospital medical office building Exclusively performs breast ultrasound examinations Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM day shifts 5 days per week, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week Uses Epic for charting Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience in breast ultrasound

ARDMS RDMS

(BR) - Breast Specialty certification required ARDMS registration with successful completion of one additional registry beyond physics (OB, abdominal, neuro, breast, pediatric, or vascular) BLS certification from AHA required and must not expire prior to start date High school diploma or GED required License required if applicable DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration Ability to lift, bend, carry supplies and equipment, stand for extended periods, push/pull equipment, and assist with patient transport Additional Information Perform breast ultrasound examinations under physician direction to identify abnormalities for patient diagnosis Responsible for patient identification, order verification, and exam preparation in accordance with department protocols Reviews images for quality, clarity, and accuracy and completes studies within acceptable timeframes Provides patient education, ensures patient comfort, and addresses patient concerns Assists and instructs students and other radiology techs in exam protocols, procedures, and positioning Maintains accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and any adverse reactions Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and equipment failure reporting Practices appropriate infection control and sterile techniques Candidates who have been permanent staff at any Intermountain facility must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
