Monday-Friday | 34.5-42.5 Hours Per Week We are seeking an experienced Registered Ultrasound Technologist to join a busy imaging department in New York, New York. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in diagnostic ultrasound, including prostate sonography and experience with the VU ultrasound system.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of Ultrasound Technologist experience required. ARDMS Certification required. ARRT Certification required. Associate Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field required. Experience with the VU ultrasound system required. Prostate sonography experience required. Strong knowledge of ultrasound imaging procedures and patient safety standards. Proficiency with PACS, healthcare imaging systems, and Microsoft Office. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform ultrasound examinations according to departmental protocols. Prepare patients for procedures and explain the imaging process. Operate, adjust, clean, and perform minor maintenance on ultrasound equipment. Capture and transfer diagnostic images to PACS and physician workstations. Assist radiologists during imaging procedures. Maintain high standards of patient safety and quality care. Monitor and maintain adequate imaging supply inventory. Schedule and coordinate patient examinations as needed. Answer phones and assist with departmental administrative duties. Assist with patient transportation coordination when required. Participate in orientation and training of new staff members. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure image quality and accuracy. Perform additional duties as assigned by department leadership.
