1 Description American Traveler is hiring a travel Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer for a night shift weekend position at an acute care hospital in Atlantis, FL, requiring 2+ years of hospital experience and active
RDMS & RVT
certifications. Details Ultrasound department within a 472-bed acute care medical/surgical facility and healthcare complex Department is equipped with 4 scanners and 4 tables, staffed by 4 techs per 12-hour shift around the clock 1:1 patient ratio Equipment includes GE, 1.5T, Discovery 450, X-Ray, MRI, and CT machines
EMR:
Meditech Friday through Sunday night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts) Heavy call requirement Requirements Minimum 2 years of hospital experience as an Ultrasound Tech, with active experience within the last 6 months Active BLS, RDMS, and RVT certifications required ACLS preferred but not required License required if applicable US SSN and DOB required for consideration Two professional references required (Florida positions) Must not have gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Ability to work independently is required Additional Information Responsibilities include operating ultrasound equipment to create diagnostic images of internal structures including bones, organs, and soft tissues The facility specializes in cardiovascular care, neuroscience, oncology, orthopedics, bariatrics, and Women's Services, and is a nationally recognized teaching facility Gray scrubs required Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible ACLS certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date First-time travelers are expected to be critical thinkers who are adaptable, flexible, and comfortable working independently on nights and weekends
