  • Part-time Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled OB/Gyn Sonographer to join our dynamic healthcare team.
In this vital role, you will utilize advanced ultrasound imaging techniques to assist in the diagnosis and monitoring of maternal and fetal health. Breast ultrasound preferred also but not required. Your expertise will support obstetric and gynecological care, ensuring accurate imaging results that inform patient treatment plans. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to women's health, providing compassionate patient care while leveraging your technical proficiency in medical imaging. Duties Perform high-quality obstetric and gynecological ultrasound and breast examinations, including fetal assessments, anatomical surveys, and pelvic scans. Apply thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and maternal-fetal medicine to capture precise images for diagnostic purposes. Maintain strict aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and prevent infection during procedures. Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and provide reassurance throughout the imaging process. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to interpret imaging results and assist in clinical decision-making. Document findings accurately in medical records, adhering to confidentiality standards and medical terminology protocols. Stay current with advancements in sonography technology, diagnostic radiology practices, and obstetric/gynecological care standards. Experience Proven experience as a sonographer specializing in OB/Gyn or maternal-fetal medicine is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology related to obstetrics and gynecology and breast. Demonstrated proficiency in medical imaging techniques, including ultrasound equipment operation and image optimization. Familiarity with diagnostic radiology principles and patient care best practices. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Certification as a registered diagnostic medical sonographer (RDMS) is strongly required.
