Job Description
Category Imaging - Ultrasound General Job Type Travel Join a dynamic healthcare environment in Fort Lauderdale, FL, where your expertise in ultrasound imaging will directly impact maternal-fetal care. This travel position offers the opportunity to work within a high-volume, complex setting requiring critical thinking, decisive judgment, and excellent communication skills. Your proficiency in general ultrasound, combined with specialized knowledge in maternal-fetal medicine (MFM), will ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Review patient requisitions and clinical indications to determine the appropriate exam. Collaborate with medical staff and MFM physicians to clarify exam requirements when necessary. Perform detailed fetal ultrasounds across all trimesters, recognizing normal and abnormal anatomy. Execute and interpret Doppler studies, including umbilical artery, middle cerebral artery, and ductus venosus assessments. Assess multiple gestation pregnancies, including chronicity and amnionicity. Conduct diagnostic transvaginal ultrasound procedures. Assist and provide guidance during invasive diagnostic procedures such as chorionic villus sampling (CVS), amniocentesis, and percutaneous umbilical blood sampling (PUBS). Utilize Voluson Expert 22 BT24 USA equipment efficiently. Maintain current knowledge through continuing medical education in ultrasound techniques. Travel reliably between multiple clinic sites and adapt to variable shift schedules as required.Desired Qualifications:
Strong understanding of fetal anatomy and abnormalities. Experience with Doppler ultrasound and multiple gestations evaluation. Proficient in 3D imaging performance and interpretation is preferred. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical setting. Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel between clinics.About Fort Lauderdale, FL:
