62 / hour Summary "Performs all diagnostic ultrasound procedures fixed and mobile according to the policy and procedures that are provided by the department. A level III Sonographer must be registered in abdomen, OB, GYN, and either neurosonology or musculoskeletal sonography. Currently practicing three (3) modalities. Assists the radiologist with designated diagnostic exams. Interacts with medical staff and other outside entities regarding ultrasound matters. Assists the radiologist in guided needle biopsies, paracentesis, thoracentesis, needle biopsies, needle localization, and operating room cryoablations. General computer skills as needed. May transport non-narcotic medications as directed. Works positively with all customers to promote patient, employee, and physician satisfaction. Participates in performance improvement initiatives. Participations in staff/student orientation training. Required to participate in ""on call"" rotation as determined per specific department needs." Requirements Educational Requirements Degree/Diploma Obtained Program of Study Required/ Preferred and/or Additional Requirements Graduated from accredited or ARRT approved ultrasound program Experience Requirements Minimum Years Required Area of Experience Required/ Preferred and/or No Experience Required Additional Requirements New graduates with three registries accepted State of Florida Licensure Requirements Licenses Required/ Preferred and/or Not Required Certifications/Registration Requirements Certificates/Registrations Required/ Preferred and/or ARDMS (American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) Required and BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support)
