Category Imaging - Ultrasound General Job Type Travel An advanced ultrasound imaging professional is sought to perform specialized diagnostic procedures in a fast-paced clinical setting. This travel position requires expertise in general ultrasound imaging with a focus on maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) applications. The role demands critical thinking, effective communication, and sound clinical judgment to operate independently while collaborating closely with medical staff and MFM physicians.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed ultrasound examinations including fetal anatomy assessments across all trimesters (1st, 2nd, and 3rd), identifying abnormalities and performing investigative imaging. Utilize Doppler techniques (umbilical artery, middle cerebral artery, ductus venosus) with a clear understanding of indications and appropriate interpretations. Evaluate multiple gestations with attention to chronicity and amnionicity. Perform diagnostic transvaginal ultrasounds and assist in procedures like chorionic villus sampling (CVS), amniocentesis, and percutaneous umbilical blood sampling (PUBS). Apply knowledge of 3D imaging techniques to enhance diagnostic accuracy. Collaborate with medical teams to clarify exam requisitions and indications as needed. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving ultrasound technologies and best practices. Travel reliably between clinic locations as needed and work variable shifts.Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Proficiency in general ultrasound imaging with specialized experience in maternal-fetal medicine. Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills. Ability to work in high-volume, complex environments with minimal supervision. Experience with Doppler ultrasound and diagnostic procedures related to MFM. Familiarity with Voluson Expert 22 BT24 USA ultrasound systems. Willingness to travel between multiple clinic sites and flexibility with work schedules.
