Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Ultrasound Technician to join our healthcare team. Must be able to work on Saturdays from 8:30- 2:00 PM. Must have knowledge and certificates in the
Specific Studies:
Echocardiograms, Intravaginal/Pelvic, Venous Doppler, Arterial, etc... Duties Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures with precision, including obstetric, gynecological, and general imaging exams. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures clearly and addressing any concerns to ensure comfort and cooperation. Operate ultrasound equipment effectively, adjusting settings to obtain optimal images for accurate diagnosis. Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, including imaging results and procedural notes. Adhere strictly to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to interpret images and provide relevant clinical information. Stay current with advancements in sonography technology, medical terminology, and anatomy knowledge to enhance diagnostic accuracy. Ensure compliance with all safety standards, including radiation safety guidelines where applicable, and uphold high standards of patient care. Skills Extensive knowledge of maternal-fetal medicine and obstetric ultrasound procedures. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging principles relevant to sonography. Proficiency in using sonography equipment and interpreting diagnostic radiology images. Excellent communication skills for effectively interacting with patients and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to demonstrate professionalism while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care. Familiarity with medical terminology, aseptic techniques, and infection control practices. Knowledge of obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn) procedures, including fetal development assessment.
