Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ultrasound Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will utilize advanced ultrasound imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images that assist physicians in evaluating and diagnosing various medical conditions. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing exceptional patient care, particularly within women's health and reproductive medicine, including maternal-fetal medicine and gynecology diagnostics. Responsibilities Operate ultrasound imaging equipment to capture detailed images of patients' internal structures, focusing on women's health, obstetrics, gynecology, and vascular diagnostics. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process clearly and ensuring their comfort while maintaining aseptic technique. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to interpret ultrasound results accurately and efficiently. Maintain detailed patient records using Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for storing and retrieving medical images securely. Ensure all procedures adhere to safety standards, including proper sterilization and infection control protocols. Assist in the diagnosis process by applying your knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology during image acquisition. Provide compassionate patient care by addressing concerns, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience throughout the imaging process. Qualifications Proven experience operating medical imaging equipment with a strong understanding of sonography principles. Knowledge of women's health diagnostics, including obstetrics (maternal-fetal medicine), gynecology diagnostics, and reproductive patient care. Familiarity with vascular technology diagnostics and diagnostic radiology techniques. Strong grasp of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques essential for accurate imaging procedures. Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members to ensure clarity and comfort. Experience working with Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for managing medical images. Certification as a registered diagnostic medical sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory; relevant training will be considered. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
