Job Description
Overview Pembroke Pink Imaging is seeking a skilled and compassionate Full-Time Breast Sonographer to join our diagnostic imaging team. The Breast Sonographer is responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations of the breast to assist physicians in diagnosing and monitoring various breast conditions. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations, including but not limited to: breast, gynecologic, abdomen, thyroid and soft tissue ultrasounds Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal imaging quality Accurately document patient history, imaging findings, and technical impressions Assist radiologists and physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures, such as biopsies Ensure patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality throughout the imaging process Recognize and report abnormal findings promptly to the interpreting physician Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and infection control procedures Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography Current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with a specialty in Breast (or eligibility required) Minimum 1-2 years of experience in breast imaging preferred but not required Strong knowledge of breast anatomy, pathology, and sonographic techniques Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Schedule Full-time position (40 hours per week) Schedule may include up to three evening (until 7pm) shifits per month
