Job Description

Ultrasound contract position pays $40.00 per patient exam, approximately $320 to up to $640 a day at a busy medical office with a busy cardiologist and nurse practitioner. We are looking for experienced vascular/general technologist. We perform all range types of exams including Echo, all vascular, abdominal, small parts, and occasional pelvic exams. No OB. Looking for a well rounded tech, but mostly with echo-vascular experience. Registered tech's perfered, but not a deal breaker.
Duties:
  • Perform echo-vascular ultrasound or general ultrasound examinations on patients in an out patient clinic setting.
  • Utilize ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality images of blood vessels and anatomy.
  • Assess and evaluate the condition of blood vessels and identify any abnormalities or blockages and pathology.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret test results and provide accurate diagnoses for preliminary report dictation.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including test results, medical history, and any relevant information.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
Skills:
  • Proficiency in performing vascular or general ultrasound examinations.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology related to the heart & vascular system.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Attention to detail to accurately capture images and record information.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot technical issues with equipment or images.
This position requires a high level of technical expertise in performing echo-vascular ultrasound examinations. The Technologist will play a crucial role in assisting with the diagnosis and treatment of patients in the office, as well as a preliminary results for doctor to review. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential for accurately interpreting test results and providing necessary information to healthcare professionals. The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment is also important.
