$67,000-72,000 The Ultrasound Technician provides ultrasound evaluations as part of the health care delivery team, delivers education and information to patients during the sonogram, and completes all documentation and procedural responsibilities according to established protocols, policies, and standard practices. This role provides care in Planned Parenthood Southeast's (PPSE) health centers in Georgia and may require travel to other PPSE or Planned Parenthood affiliate health centers for training and/or quality improvement opportunities.

Ability to provide or support the provision of objective information about all pregnancy options (abortion, adoption, or parenting). 12. Strong commitment to PPSE's mission and patient-centered values. 13. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as required. 14. Ability and willingness to travel to other PPSE locations within Georgia & Alabama. 15. Reliable means of transportation for onsite and off-site work. 16. If using a personal vehicle to drive for work purposes, a valid GA driver license and current auto insurance in compliance with the minimum requirements of GA vehicle code are required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma, GED Diploma, or equivalent required. Ultrasound Certification required. 0 - 1 year of healthcare experience with Gynecology (GYN) preferred. Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) preferred. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following: 1. Adhere to Agency's policies, procedures and protocols. 2. Adhere to affiliate goals and policies on professionalism, wait time in-clinic and on the system for addressing client complaints. 3. Participate in health center efforts to achieve established goals for productivity. 4. Participate in health center/affiliate efforts to achieve established revenue cycle goals. 5. Encourage patient feedback.
ULTRASOUND DUTIES
including, but not limited to: 1. Prepares patients for ultrasound examination, including explaining the process and/or procedure to the patient prior to completing the scan or test and provide patient education related to the scan. 2. Completes high-quality scans and records anatomical, pathological, and/or physiological data for interpretation by a medical provider. 3. Works closely with medical provider to ensure adequate screening, documentation, and communication or results. 4. Under the direction of a medical provider, provides assistance and patient care during procedures 5. Documents thoroughly in PPSE's electronic health records, including the recording and processing of sonographic data and other pertinent observations made during the scan or procedure for presentation to the medical provider. 6. With the health care team and Health Center Manager, work to ensure smooth clinic flow and efficiency. 7. Assist health care team with health center operations as needed, including back office operations and customer service. 8. Properly disinfects and cleans ultrasound equipment as outlined in PPSE policies and procedures. 9. Perform routine maintenance on ultrasound machines and maintain proper operation of ultrasound machines, including correcting and/or reporting machine malfunctions. 10. Under the direction of the Ultrasound Program Director, assists and/or leads ultrasound quality improvement initiatives, staff training, new system implementations, or any other ultrasound program related activities.
