Category Imaging - Echo Job Type Travel An opportunity is available for an experienced Cardiac Sonographer skilled in echocardiography, including adult, pediatric, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms. This role requires functioning under the guidance of the Lead Sonographer to perform comprehensive cardiac imaging while ensuring patient safety and comfort. The position demands excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.

Responsibilities:

Perform cardiac imaging procedures according to established protocols, including measurements and calculations. Administer Ultrasound Enhancing Agents (UEA) and saline bubble studies as needed. Ensure proper patient identification, privacy, and comfort during exams. Communicate clearly with patients to explain procedures and address questions using AIDET techniques. Maintain equipment functionality and adhere to infection control policies. Assist with departmental operations such as scheduling, restocking supplies, and record keeping. Participate in on-call rotations, including weekends and holidays. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to provide quality patient care.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required; Diagnostic Medical Sonography degree or Cardiovascular Technology program graduate preferred. Active ARDMS, RCCS, RDCS, or RDCS-AE certification required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Minimum of 1 year of echocardiography experience preferred. Strong communication skills and ability to multitask in fast-paced environments. Detail-oriented with a patient-centered approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Schedule:
