Job Description

Category Imaging - Echo Job Type Contract Take the next step in your allied health career by providing critical cardiac imaging services in a supportive medical environment. This contract role specializes in echocardiography, utilizing your skills and precision to deliver vital diagnostic information that directly supports patient care and treatment planning.
Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment, ensuring accurate imaging of cardiac structures, chambers, valves, and blood flow. Conduct a range of echocardiogram studies, including transthoracic and, where applicable, transesophageal procedures. Collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret findings and relay critical information. Record, document, and prepare concise, accurate reports using hospital information systems. Maintain strict adherence to safety and infection control protocols at all times. Educate and reassure patients throughout the procedure for a comfortable and efficient experience.
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology with a specialty in echocardiography. Current credentialing (i.e., RDCS, RCS, or equivalent) strongly preferred. Minimum one year of experience as an echo technologist in a hospital or clinical imaging setting. Proficiency in imaging software, digital archiving, and reporting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate collaboration and patient interaction. Thorough understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology as demonstrated by prior experience.
