This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sonographer who is passionate about teaching and helping students prepare for successful careers in the field.

Position Overview The Ultrasound Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in both classroom and laboratory settings. This role includes teaching assigned courses, supporting student learning, and ensuring students develop the knowledge and skills required for entry-level employment in diagnostic medical sonography. Evening availability is required. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on lab instruction Teach ultrasound topics including: Ultrasound physics and instrumentation Abdominal imaging Obstetrics and gynecology Vascular and small parts imaging Evaluate student performance through exams, assignments, and lab assessments Provide academic support and tutoring to students as needed Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and student records Ensure course objectives and learning outcomes are met Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and best practices Foster a positive, professional, and supportive learning environment Qualifications Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience in diagnostic medical sonography Relevant ultrasound credential(s) preferred Prior teaching or training experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to relate clinical experience to real-world applications Schedule Part-time Evening hours (typical classes run Monday-Thursday evenings) What We're Looking For A professional who enjoys mentoring and motivating students Someone who brings real-world clinical insight into the classroom An instructor who is organized, reliable, and student-focused A team player who collaborates well with faculty and administration About Gwinnett College Gwinnett College is a career-focused institution dedicated to providing hands-on training and real-world education that leads to employment.
