1 Description American Traveler is hiring a travel Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer for a night shift radiology position at a Level I trauma center and regional children's hospital in Savannah, GA, requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT (R) certification. Details Position is located within the radiology department of a children's hospital at a 612-bed acute care facility The facility is the only Level I trauma center and only children's hospital in the region Unit has 50 beds with 2 technologists staffed per shift General x-ray examinations are the primary procedures performed Equipment includes Carestream and GE portables and GE x-ray rooms EMR system is Epic Schedule is Monday through Thursday nights, 9:00 PM - 7:30 AM (10.5-hour shifts) 13-week contract Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer, with active experience within the last 6 months ARRT (R) certification required Current BLS (AHA or ARC accepted) required; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the start date Proficiency in general x-ray examinations required Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; no local candidates will be considered SSN and DOB required for consideration One professional reference required (two required for candidates licensed in Florida or Missouri) License required if applicable Additional Information Primary responsibilities include performing general x-ray examinations within the radiology department Works alongside an experienced team of technologists in a collaborative environment Facility is recognized as a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures and an Advanced Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission Modern facility with new equipment Scrubs required No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
