Job Description

Category Imaging - Echo Job Type Travel A travel opportunity is available for a skilled Cardiac Sonographer with expertise in echocardiography to perform comprehensive cardiac imaging including adult, pediatric, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms. This role involves working under the guidance of the Lead or Manager Sonographer and requires precision, patient care, and effective communication within a dynamic healthcare team.

Position is based in Woodstock, GA, a vibrant community offering a blend of historic charm and modern amenities. Known for its welcoming atmosphere, the area provides ample dining, shopping, and outdoor activities, making it a great place to live and work.
Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic echocardiographic procedures following laboratory protocols. Administer Ultrasound Enhancing Agents and saline bubble studies as required. Verify patient identity and maintain patient privacy and dignity throughout imaging procedures. Interpret and review ultrasound images; provide preliminary findings to physicians when requested. Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment ensuring operational readiness. Document procedures accurately and assist in training departmental staff. Handle patient preparation, positioning, and post-procedural care. Participate in departmental operations, including scheduling, inventory, and maintaining cleanliness. Take rotating call and work weekends and holidays as needed. Qualifications /
Desired Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required; Diagnostic Medical Sonography degree preferred.
Certification required upon hire:
ARDMS, RCS-CCI, RDCS, or RDCS-AE. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Minimum of 1 year echocardiography experience preferred. Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work various shifts, including 3 x 12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays.
