1 Description American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with a minimum of 2 years of experience across general, OB/GYN, and vascular ultrasound modalities, with required Epic EMR proficiency. Details Outpatient or hospital-based ultrasound setting serving general, OB/GYN, and vascular patient populations Average of 15 scans per day Procedures include abdominal and RUQ imaging with liver vessel evaluation, kidneys and bladder, pelvic imaging (transabdominal and transvaginal), 1st trimester OB (transabdominal and transvaginal), limited 2nd/3rd trimester OB (BPP, measurements, fluid checks), testicular/scrotal evaluation, DVT/venous evaluation of upper and lower extremities, ABIs, thyroid, aorta, and carotid imaging Experience assisting with fine needle aspirations, paracentesis, and thoracentesis is preferred but not required Epic EMR experience required 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, with start times varying between 7:00 AM and 9:30 AM based on staffing and caseload On-call coverage required Monday-Friday from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM on a rotation among all day staff Weekend call coverage as needed from 6:30 PM to 6:00 AM Requirements Minimum of 24 months of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer ARDMS (AB) certification required ARDMS (RVT) highly preferred ARDMS (OB/GYN) highly preferred Active AHA or ARC BLS certification required Experience in general/abdominal ultrasound required Experience in non-high-risk OB/GYN ultrasound required Experience in vascular ultrasound required Epic EMR experience required Active state license required if applicable Driver's license required for consideration One supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 2 years required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers will be considered provided they have a minimum of 2 years of ultrasound experience Travelers are required to work 1-2 of the following summer holidays if the unit is open: Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day Candidates previously employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for this position
