Assists with completing schedules, address and review payroll as needed. Helps with staff education/in-services/specialized skilled training programs. Assists in the hiring and orientation program of newly hired staff. Provides leadership by coordinating and delegating patient care in an organized manner, allowing for flexibility. Acts as supervisor when supervisor is absent. Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule. Manages daily operations of patient care. Represents UnityPoint Health (UPH) in a professional manner. Promotes positive interpersonal relations and serves as a role model within the department and with hospital personnel. Evaluates sonograms for technical quality. Understands correct machine settings to produce accurate appearing images. Performs equipment calibrations and adjustments. Selects technical factors and imaging modes. Informs supervisor or calls for service in absence of supervisor when needed.
Licensure/Certification:
Must be certified and hold current registration with the ARDMS or the ARRT in Sonography.
