As Needed About the Role MedOp Solutions is partnering with a leading healthcare facility in Arlington Heights, Illinois to hire an experienced Sonographer for a contract assignment beginning July 13. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic imaging department performing a variety of ultrasound studies, including vascular, general, and breast imaging. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment. This position is being recruited to support a staffing gap due to a permanent employee absence, with the potential for a temporary-to-permanent opportunity for the right candidate. Primary Focus:
Vascular Ultrasound General Ultrasound Breast Ultrasound Temporary backfill opportunity with potential for long-term placement Patient Types & Procedures Adult and geriatric patients Vascular imaging studies General abdominal and soft tissue ultrasound examinations Breast ultrasound procedures Outpatient and inpatient imaging services Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to departmental protocols Conduct vascular, breast, and general ultrasound studies Ensure proper patient positioning and image acquisition Review patient history and physician orders for exam accuracy Maintain high-quality imaging standards for physician interpretation Provide compassionate patient care and education throughout procedures Document exams accurately and efficiently Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to support patient care Qualifications Minimum 1-2 years of recent ultrasound experience required ARDMS certification required BLS certification required MSK (Musculoskeletal Ultrasound) experience/certification required Experience in vascular, general, and breast ultrasound required Strong patient care and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Technology & Equipment Advanced Ultrasound Imaging Systems Digital Imaging and Reporting Systems Scheduling & Expectations Week 1 Schedule 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Four weekdays plus Saturday One weekday off (to be determined) Week 2 Schedule 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Four weekdays (potentially Monday-Thursday) Additional Requirements Every other weekend rotation On-call coverage as needed Holiday coverage as needed No floating requirements
