Part-Time (.8) FTE; 32 hours per week Work every Weekend

General Ultrasound Will train onDays M-F Locations:
LUMC- Medical Center About the job In this role the Ultrasound Technologist, under the general supervision of an attending radiologist, and in accordance with department protocols, the ultra-sonographer utilizes high frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques to produce and evaluate ultrasound images and related data which is used by physicians in rendering a medical diagnosis resulting in quality patient care.
- Level Trauma 1; working independently What you'll do Performs and demonstrates competence in ultrasonic scanning procedures by producing, assessing and evaluating ultrasound images and related data that are used by physicians to render a medical diagnosis.
Required:
Associate Degree; graduate from an accredited two-year Ultrasound Program, required; OR equivalent training acquired via work experience Specific Degree(s): AMA approved Sonography program; Graduate of a CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) approved school of Ultrasound Technology Less than one year of previous job-related experience New Graduates- 9-month ultrasound coursework experience including clinical rotation M ust be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
Licensure/Certifications Required:
CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) from American Heart Association ONLY Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS- Specialization in
Abdomen, Ob/Gyn or PS Other:
New Graduate obtain certification within 3 months of hirePreferred:

Registration within 3 months of hire, in a minimum of one to two specialties of either Abdomen and/or Obstetrics & Gynecology required.
