Job Description

Franciscan Health Lafayette East Campus 1701 S Creasy Ln Lafayette, Indiana 47905 The Supervisor Ultrasound is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities and specialized functions of the Ultrasound and Vascular Ultrasound section. This position collaborates with the medical director and/or the appropriate physician in the development or modification of test procedures and protocols. The Supervisor monitors work performed to maintain optimal timeliness, accuracy, proficiency, efficiency, and safety of Ultrasound and Vascular Ultrasound staff, including ensuring the maintenance of discipline within their section and providing a familiar and structured base to meet accreditation processes for accrediting bodies.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Monday
  • Friday 8a-4:30p Run daily reports to track unsigned studies, daily charges, and study turnaround times.
Log reports with EPIC team to improve workflow. Block and release green time in EPIC to fit staffing needs, meeting schedule and patient needs. Monitor PACS HOLD, FIX, and UNREAD list to ensure studies are read in a timely manner. Research, implement, and maintain new protocols as prescribed by the radiologist. Give training sessions to employees to ensure competencies are met. Set up services with vendors for new products or refresher courses for current products/procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Associate's Degree Ultrasound and/or Radiology Preferred Bachelor's Degree Ultrasound and/or Radiology Required Certificate Licensed and credentialed ultrasound program 3 years RVT Required 3 years Ultrasound Required Registered Ultrasonographer (ARDMS)
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Basic Life Support Program (BLS)
  • American Heart Association Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Radiology Technologist License (RADTECH)
  • State Licensing Board As Required by Unit
