Job Overview:
Performs diagnostic sonographic imaging procedures. Performs quality control and quality assessment. Assists physicians with interventional procedures. Takes on-call duty and responds to emergency call back. Participates in staff in-service program. Schedules patients for procedures. Keeps area supplied and clean. Assists with orientation of new staff and students. Assists clerical area when needed. Perform
EMR/PACS
functions. Maintains equipment to decrease downtime and overtime expense. Participates in performance improvement and quality assurance initiatives
Required:
Certifications/Licenses/Education:
The individual must be a graduate of a recognized Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or meet clinical experience, didactic course work and alternative eligibility as specified in the ARDMS application for certification instructions. Employee must be RVT and/or RVS and RDMS registry eligible upon hire. Employee will be required to obtain RVT and/or RVS and RDMS within first 18 months. If employee is RDMS or registry eligible, no additional experience necessary.
