Weekends Essential Responsibilities:
Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an accommodation may result in disqualification from the position. Ensure proper patient identity by checking two forms of identification per hospital policy, and confirming physician orders. Attend and complete all mandatory meetings and in-services, as well as assigned continuing education. Complete and maintain departmental competency checklists. Effectively utilize resources and time. Identify and report issues and concerns to effectively solve problems. Show interest and actively participate in Process Improvement projects, both departmentally and hospital wide. Be able to collaborate with others in a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Act in accordance with the established mission, vision, and values. Abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI). Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients/clients and their representatives, team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public.

People Management Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience Associates degree from a two-year college or technical school in Ultrasound or higher. Required License/Certifications/Registrations Must be a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) and RVT registered within 6 months of hire date. Current BLS card within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation, whichever comes first. Acceptable courses are American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred Education and Experience 1 year clinical experience post-graduation Preferred License/Certifications/Registrations none
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Thorough knowledge of Ultrasound diagnostic techniques, treatment and education. Strong skills in using software such as Excel, Word, EMR Systems, etc. Medical terminology. Superb organization skills, follow-through and attention to detail

Occasionally exerting up to 25 lbs - frequently exerting up to 10 lbs. 11-25% of the day may be standing or walking.
