OB/GYN Sonographer

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled OB/GYN Sonographer to join a new birth center in Lawrence KS. We also have a Topeka location with opportunity here also. In this vital role, you will utilize advanced sonography techniques to produce high-quality diagnostic images of the female reproductive system, including obstetric and gynecological assessments. Your expertise will support maternal-fetal medicine reader, assist in early detection of pregnancy complications, and contribute to comprehensive patient care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with midwives, to improve patient outcomes through precise imaging and compassionate care. Duties Perform detailed obstetric and gynecological ultrasound examinations, including fetal development assessments and pelvic imaging. Apply advanced sonography techniques to visualize maternal and fetal anatomy accurately. Ensure strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during all procedures. Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring a comfortable experience. Great bed side manner a MUST. Maintain accurate patient records, imaging logs, and technical reports in compliance with healthcare regulations. Stay current with developments in medical imaging technology to enhance diagnostic accuracy. Reporting to Clinical Director. Requirements Proven experience as an OB/GYN Sonographer or in a similar medical imaging role. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to obstetrics and gynecology. Proficiency in sonography equipment operation, diagnostic radiology principles, and medical imaging techniques. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and educate patients. Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent credential preferred; relevant certifications in obstetric or gynecological sonography are highly desirable.
