Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a part-time skilled Sonographer to join our medical team. The Sonographer will be responsible for performing ultrasound procedures to assist in the diagnosis of various medical conditions.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive obstetric and gynecological ultrasound examinations, including fetal growth scans, anomaly scans, Doppler studies and GYN scans. Utilize advanced sonography techniques to assess fetal development, placental location, amniotic fluid levels, and maternal anatomy. Interpret imaging results in collaboration with physicians specializing in obstetrics/gynecology. Maintain accurate documentation of all procedures, findings, and patient interactions in accordance with medical standards. Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during all procedures. Educate patients about procedures, findings, and next steps in their prenatal care with compassionate communication. Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology and maternal-fetal medicine practices.
Skills:
Extensive knowledge of obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn), and physiology related to pregnancy. Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and sonography principles . Strong understanding of medical imaging modalities used in diagnostic radiology for obstetric applications. Skilled in aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment during examinations. Excellent communication skills for effectively interacting with patients and collaborating with healthcare teams. Ability to interpret complex ultrasound images accurately and provide detailed reports. Compassionate patient care skills with a focus on comfort and reassurance during sensitive examinations. Experience with 3D/4D ultrasound imaging Familiarity with PACS systems Knowledge of quality assurance protocols in ultrasound imaging
Qualifications:
ARDMS certification in OB/GYN Proficient in performing abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, and vascular ultrasounds Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team This is a part-time position
