Lively atmosphere On-the-job training Company perks Safe work environment Modern office setting Food provided We are seeking an experienced Vascular Sonographer to join our team and provide services at our Lexington outpatient clinics & OBL. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate diagnostic imaging, ensuring that all images are captured and documented properly, and helping to expediate exceptional patient care. This candidate will also assist the physicians with vein ablation procedures in our vascular procedure room. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures. Perform ultrasound scans of the body and organs. Perform interoperative procedures in Vein Surgeries. Analyze images to detect any abnormalities. Effectively use the EMR system to document results with appropriate CPT and Dx codes. Communicate results to physicians and other healthcare professionals. Maintain records of patient information and images. Must be able to adapt to evolving healthcare changes & department needs. Skills/ Experience (required & preferred): Required certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) required or Board Eligible Experience as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) preferred Attention to detail Excellent bedside manner Must be familiar with protocols and exams performed in the lab and able to communicate with physicians and other technologists BLS Certification (Preferred) Associate's Degree (Preferred) Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee will lift, twist, bend and pull routinely. Full range of motion will often be used in wrists, shoulders, back and knees. Must be able to distinguish audible sounds, adequately view sonograms including color distinction and be able to sit/stand for extended periods of time.
