Completion of an accredited Ultrasound program (required). ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) certification (required).Preferred:
1-2 years of ultrasonography experience.Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in a health-related field. Strong knowledge of ultrasound imaging techniques and cross-sectional anatomy. Excellent communication and patient-care skills. You will perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures while ensuring high-quality imaging, patient safety, and compassionate care to support accurate diagnoses and clinical decision making. Perform a wide range of ultrasound diagnostic procedures in accordance with departmental protocols. Position and instruct patients to obtain optimal images while ensuring safety and comfort. Operate ultrasound equipment and evaluate images for diagnostic quality. Correlate clinical history with ordered procedures to ensure proper exam selection. Prepare patients for procedures and minimize anxiety through clear communication. Provide compassionate, patient-centered care across all age populations. Adhere to safety, infection-control, and regulatory standards. Maintain compliance with accrediting organizations (Joint Commission, CMS, ACR, etc.). Document procedures and maintain PACS and electronic records accurately. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other team members. Assist with training of ultrasound students as appropriate. Maintain certifications, continuing education, and required licensure. Participate in department meetings and performance improvement initiatives. Perform all other duties as assigned.What Sets BRG Apart:
