Job Description

Job Summary GHR is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week contract opportunity in Falmouth, MA. The Ultrasound Tech provides essential diagnostic imaging services to support patient care and medical decision-making. The Ultrasound Tech will operate ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images for evaluation by physicians, with a focus on maternal-fetal medicine, obstetrics, gynecology, and general diagnostic radiology. This role requires a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging techniques to ensure accurate and safe procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering compassionate patient care. Duties Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort Operate ultrasound equipment to capture detailed images of internal organs, tissues, and fetal development Assist obstetricians and gynecologists in maternal-fetal medicine imaging procedures Maintain strict aseptic techniques to prevent infection during examinations Analyze images for quality and clarity; make adjustments as necessary for optimal results Document findings accurately and communicate preliminary observations to physicians Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and cleaning of ultrasound equipment Adhere to safety protocols and medical imaging standards to protect patients and staff Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and follow-up procedures Stay updated on advancements in sonography techniques, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology Requirements Certification or licensure as an Ultrasound Technician or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Proven experience in medical imaging, particularly in obstetrics, gynecology, or maternal-fetal medicine Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to ultrasound imaging Familiarity with sonography equipment, diagnostic radiology practices, and aseptic techniques Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration Ability to interpret ultrasound images accurately and provide detailed documentation Knowledge of patient care principles with a compassionate approach toward diverse populations For immediate consideration, call or text Elyse at 813-705-7941. #allied2tech
