1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Sonographer with ARDMS certification and at least 2 years of experience for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level II Trauma Center in Bangor, ME. Details Work primarily in the hospital's Ultrasound unit with possible rotation to an outpatient imaging center Level II Trauma Center and Certified Stroke Center serving approximately two-thirds of the state of Maine 411-bed acute care facility Adult patient population required; pediatric experience preferred Every other weekend required Call rotation required; details discussed during manager interview Variable 40-hour weekly schedule; scheduling specifics discussed during interview May float between main hospital campus and the outpatient imaging center
EMR:
Cerner Requirements Minimum of 2 years of sonography experience ARDMS certification with Abdomen (AB) or OB/GYN credential required; both AB and OB/GYN preferred RVT credential preferred Current BLS required Compact or Maine state license required if applicable Adult ultrasound experience required; pediatric experience preferred Full SSN, Driver's License, and copies of all certifications required for consideration 2 professional references within the past year required for consideration, at least one from a Supervisor, Manager, or Director (Charge RN acceptable; peer references not accepted) Additional Information First-time travelers will be considered with at least 2 years of employment experience Candidates must have a permanent address 100+ miles south/southwest of the facility to be eligible Candidates who have previously worked at any Northern Light Health Hospital in a permanent capacity are not eligible RTO requires manager approval and must be submitted at time of consideration Flu vaccination is required for clearance; medical exemptions only are accepted and subject to facility review (minimum 2-week review period required) Supported by a Lead Tech and physician support on the unit Scrubs should be any solid, professional color; scrubs can be provided by the facility if needed Free parking available on-site Manager interviews required Work history submitted for consideration should include hospital name, location, bed count, trauma level, teaching hospital experience, and EMR/charting information
