Johns, MI Job Description General Purpose of Job:
Performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician. Responsible for the administration of quality Ultrasound examinations and patient information. Job Requirements General Requirements
  • CPR/BLS Certified
  • Registered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography (RDMS) in OB/GYN and/or Abdomen. Work Experience
  • Graduate of an approved ultrasound program or a minimum of one year experience as an ultrasonographer.
  • Preferred
  • Experience as an ultrasonographer.
  • Preferred
  • Vascular experience.
  • Preferred
  • OB/GYN/Abdominal/Small Parts/Breast. Education
  • Graduate of an approved ultrasound program or a minimum of one year experience as an ultrasonographer. Specialized Knowledge and Skills
  • Position requires self-discipline.
  • excellent communication skills.
  • high degree of personal motivation.
  • Excellent teamwork skills.
  • Basic knowledge of technical factors and normal and abnormal anatomy.
  • Knowledge and skill necessary to provide care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients serviced in his/her assigned service area as related to the principle duties and responsibilities of the position.
